Learn how to pick the right CaniX kit for canicross running based on color, size options, and what's included. Compare Black/orange, Blue/gray, and Aqua kits.
Quick answer
Choose the CaniX kit that fits your dog's harness size and your personal color preference. All three kits include the same core gear: Freemotion harness 5.0, Bungee leash, and CaniX belt 2.0.
What's in every CaniX kit
Every CaniX kit comes with the Freemotion harness 5.0, a Bungee leash, and the CaniX belt 2.0. You also get a free gift with your purchase. The harness and belt are available in multiple sizes, while the leash comes in different colors depending on the kit.
Color and size options matter
The main difference between the kits is the color scheme and the size options for the leash. The Black/orange and Blue/gray kits let you choose the leash color separately, but the Aqua kit does not list a leash color option. If having a matching leash color is important, the Black/orange or Blue/gray kits give you more flexibility.
Decision rules for choosing your CaniX kit
- Prioritize harness and belt fit: Select the kit color you like, then focus on choosing the correct size for the Freemotion harness 5.0 and CaniX belt 2.0. These two items are the most critical for comfort and performance. Measure your dog's chest and neck, and your own waist, before ordering.
- Leash color flexibility: If you want to choose the leash color separately, go with the Black/orange or Blue/gray kit. The Aqua kit does not offer a leash color option.
- Budget consideration: The Blue/gray kit is priced lower than the Black/orange and Aqua kits. If you want the same gear at a lower price, the Blue/gray kit is a smart choice. Check the current price difference before deciding.
