When wind slices through the landscape and temperatures drop below freezing, your gear needs to work as hard as you do. The Trail expedition hat is made to handle long days in tough winter conditions.

The windproof, water-resistant shell blocks out the elements, while the lightweight Primaloft® ACTIVE insulation balances warmth and breathability to keep you comfortable through changing intensity levels.

Fold-down ear flaps shield against biting winds and frost, while the structured brim keeps snow and rain out of your eyes. For maximum visibility on clear days, the brim flips up with a hook-and-loop fastener.

Henry X. ★★★★★

Bitter wind on the ridge all afternoon and my ears never once went numb, which says a lot. The hat stays put under a hood and doesn't itch across the forehead like my old wool one did.

Sofia ★★★★★

Wore this for six hours of snowshoeing at about 10°F and my ears never once went numb. The hat blocks wind way better than the fleece one I used all last season, and it still fits under a hood without bunching up.

Alexander Y. ★★★★★

The brim held its shape through a full day of gusty ridgeline hiking, and the chin strap didn’t chafe once under my jaw. It’s honestly the warmest and most stable winter hat I’ve owned for exposed trails.
